In the earlier part of May, CBS and Warner Bros. Television announced that one of televisions most successful comedy series, Two and Half Men, would resume taping of a new season, replacing Charlie Sheen with Ashton Kutcher. Charlie Sheen has always been somewhat of an attention getter with his reckless behavior and bad habits, but this past year he reached an all new low as we watched him throw his career right down the drain.
All the world watched as Charlie Sheen’s life slowly began to fall apart. First it was his divorce, then it was prostitutes, drugs and losing his kids. His party lifestyle landed him in a world of trouble with his family, the law and producers of Two and Half Men. When he took his rantings to the air waves, publicly embarrassing himself and everyone associated with him, the network decided to pull the plug on his multi-million dollar paycheck from the series.
His fans and fans of the show watched him publicly fall apart and wondered how long it would be before he was replaced. Speculation as to who would replace Charlie on the show began quickly after his “winning” new attitude was all but enjoyed by producer and writers of the show, as well as his fans. One thing Charlie was wrong about is their ability to turn out a successful series without him.
Ashton Kutcher is well known in the industry of film, television and social media and is sure to bring a fresh new flavor to the set. There is no doubt that there are harsh feeling from Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Holland Taylor, Marin Hinkle and Conchata Ferrell towards Charlie for his behavior which reflected on the show. However, they are ready to get back to work and happy to be beginning their 9th season with the new face of the show Ashton Kutcher.
The ninth season of Emmy Award-nominated Two And A Half Men is currently under production and will continue through the summer. The new season and Ashton’s first appearance on the show will air on the CBS Television Network in the fall. Fans are already speculating how well Ashton Kutcher will fill the shoes of Charlie Sheen. Being a womanizer is not really a part that Ashton is familiar with but his acting ability is sure to bring the comedy back to life on Two and Half Men. Online sportsbooks are already offering entertainment betting odds on just long Ashton will last on the series.
