A Next-Generation Cooking App by Dorie Greenspan

Posted in : Cookbooks

(added few months ago!)

Dorie Greenspan, whose books on baking have launched a thousand sables, has a new app for the iPad dropping today. Baking With Dorie ($12.99) has several nifty and useful features that we didn’t see in the first generation of cooking apps, including step-by-step video for every recipe, like tarte tatin; crisp, airy visuals; and a choice among several recipe layouts, all of them designed for the needs of the cook, not the programmer.

The layout called CulinView is an intuitive, visual way to cook that makes traditional recipes seem awfully wordy.
